The Oracle 9i DBA Certified
Master Practicum is a two day live application performance test that
requires participants to complete a series of scenarios and resolve
technical and failure problems within an Oracle9i Database
environment. Scenarios are timed and require a high degree of Oracle
database knowledge to successfully complete them. Participants are
scored on their ability to successfully complete assigned tasks and
must achieve a passing score to obtain their Oracle9i Database
Administrator Certified Master credential. In addition to the
entrance requirements of having an Oracle9i DBA OCP credential and
having completed two advanced classes it is highly recommended that
participants have a minimum of 3 – 4 years of Oracle database
administrator experience.
The OCM is the highest level of credential an Oracle professional
can earn in the Oracle Certification Program. An Oracle9i Database
Administrator Certified Master is a top-level Oracle expert who has
in depth technical knowledge of the Oracle data server and industry
experience managing mission critical Oracle database systems and
applications. An Oracle Certified Master is looked upon as an expert
within their organization, amongst their peers and across the
industry.
